Because No Man Is An Island

As we live out our life, at times it is easy to separate ourselves from our brothers and sisters in Christ.
But we are needed and must open our hands for God to fill them.
Hebrews speaks of assembling ourselves. I have had many tell me that they believe this is attending church.
And so it is. Yet we are the building, the temple that He desires to fill. We are the living church, the container of His love, the members of His body.
More than mortar, a building of bricks. We are the body, the Bride of Christ.

Hebrews 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

1 Corinthians 12:27
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

1 Corinthians 12:12  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:14  For the body is not one member, but many.

You are not an island. You are needed.

Hi Debbie. I'm another Debbie... and a Christian (aka: Christina)... and an artist! The Lord has been teaching me a lot about Joy and Meaning in life through the poem No Man is an Island. I'd love to buy a print of the piece you featured here. A very good reproduction on high quality paper (Ooh… like torn edge, cotton, watercolor paper… Sorry... I'm an artist) would be great! Do you sell your artwork? I sure hope so because it's fantastic! God Bless.
